Meet Dr. Larry Ng

Dr. Larry Ng graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR. Afterwards, he successfully completed the Canadian Standard Assessment in Optometry (CSAO) and obtained a practicing status from the College of Optometrists of Ontario in 2006.
 Dr. Ng had been employed by the School of Optometry of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a clinical teaching faculty member for more than 12 years. He was extensively involved in clinical and didactic teaching at the University regarding clinical optometry, ocular pathology and pharmacology, co-management for patients with diabetic retinopathy, advanced contact lens practice, and orthokeratology. 

In 2004, Dr. Ng earned a Certificate of Attainment in Orthokeratology Practice issued by the School of Optometry of the PolyU. Furthermore, Dr. Ng was awarded fellowship member status from the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) in 2005 and the British Contact Lens Association (FBCLA) in 2006. From 2011 to 2012, Dr. Ng was elected president of the Hong Kong Society of Professional Optometrists.Dr. Ng’s language proficiency levels include English and Cantonese (fluent) as well as Mandarin (conversational). Aside from his professional career, Dr. Ng enjoys playing the violin, swimming and international travel.

Dr. Rachel Lin

 Meet Dr. Rachel Lin

Dr. Rachel Lin obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours from University of Waterloo, School of Optometry. She is the recipient of the Dr. Howard A. Backman Scholarship, Bobier Lyle Fisher Research Award and Optometry Faculty Undergraduate Research Scholarship for academic excellence and her dedication to optometric research.Dr. Lin completed her externship in ocular disease and therapeutics at The Scarborough Eye Associate, Bochner Eye Institute and Lasik MD. During her externship she worked closely with ophthalmologists and was extensively trained in retinal disease, corneal disease treatment, glaucoma management, laser vision correction, and cataract surgery.

Upon graduation and board-certification, Dr. Lin joined the iCare Optometrists network, where she is dedicated to providing comprehensive family eye health and vision. She is also part of the medical team in Medcan – Canada’s Leading Executive Healthcare Clinic. Dr. Lin is also a featured Optometry expert on Agecomfort.org. She strongly believes in patient education and eye disease prevention. She prides herself in spending time with patients and parents to discuss their concerns and needs.
